Jeff & Barb's Wedding Afghan

This was my first afghan I ever knitted. It turned out really nice and most importantly, Jeff and Barb loved it! Actually, my husband loved it so much too that he wanted to keep it. This is certainly a pattern I will use again. Very easy and a great one for beginners.


PATTERN:
Finished size: Approximately 48 x 67 inches

- 6 skeins Lion Brand Homespun color of choice
- Size 13 US (9 mm) needles

Gauge: 10 sts and 12 rows = 4 inches

Afghan
Cast on 135 sts.
Rows 1-6: Knit
Row 7 (RS): K6, p1, * k1, p1, rep from * to last 6 sts, end k6
Row 8: K9, * p3, k3, rep from * to last 6 sts, end k6.
Rep Rows 7 and 8 until peice measures 65 inches or desired length.
Knit 6 rows. Bind off all sts.
